RE: magnum 160 twin questions.
I would think that the only way that could happen would be if the tank is too high relative to the carby. If the fuel level in the tank is much higher than the carby, the fuel will just syphon out once the fuel line is primed. Does this help?

mike, the tank is higher than the carb, for one i built the tank and it is up in the nose like the real cub and the twin engine has a bottom mounted carb. i was wondering if i have something on the carb set up wrong? it did this on the last plane that the engine was on but i didn't bother because the plane went down on the maiden. with the bottom mounted carb its hard for this not to happen on any plane. thank's jeff

I have the same thing happen on a st90. The tank is a hair higher than the carb and when the tank is full it is high enough to siphon a little out. Generally I just fill up and then fly rather than letting it sit.
Also, if the carb is all the way closed it seems to siphon a lot slower.

The Cline is the way to go. With it you shouldn't need on board glow either. I've used them on two twins with good results. First start of the day will require good priming.

RE: magnum 160 twin questions.
HI all
I just picked up a used 160 and it needs a motor mount this one is missing and a prop nut and the intake pipes are bent. Will a OS 160 fit ?
thanks jim

If the engine is running good, idles, etc, then just use a pair of hemostats to gently pinch off the fuel line to the carb.
I always like the simple methods myself. I do it quite often with inverted engines in my planes.
