Default continuously plug heater is necessary/useful?

i have os 32 heli engine. i never use it. i will use it soon. i am thinking to make a 1.2v battery for glow plug and glow plug will be hot everytime when i use it. is it necessary/useful?

....no, it's not necassary. When the glow igniter is "on"....it makes the
plug burn hotter than normal, which can cause overheating sometimes.

Even with an onboard glow system, the glow is only "on" at below 1/4
throttle, to start the engine, and to keep it running a low speeds. [sm=teeth_smile.gif]

aleykumselam, because i think engine will be more powerful, but after Flyboy Dave's answer i am thinking to make a system for plug heater, it will work only first quarter throttle.

Birader,I dont think you will need it.I would first try engine on model. .Even as a heli engine I dont think it will have any idling problem.

It shouldn't make any difference in power. You'll just end up replacing plugs often and that gets expensive
