Default taped casing question

I have a Super Tiger 2300 that was mounted upside down on a plane. I taped the crankcase for a Perry pump. Now I am mounting the engine sideways and I wasn't planning using the pump. Do I need to plug the tube coming out of the nipple I installed or can I leave this open?

I just used a piece of fuel tubing with a screw in it.

Two stroke engines do not run well with crankcase leaks. It would be best to remove the nipple and install a grub screw with some sealant to reduce the chance of a future leak.
