Default Quick Question - Long vs short plugs

I've got a simple question about terminology. If I buy a standard Tower Hobbies glowplug, is that a "long" or "short" plug?

Thanks,
Frank

It is too long to call short and too short to call long.

Just use it. Will work fine. It is considered a long by Tower but is actually in between.

Is that the one that's a re-branded OS? Probably the A3.

Brian,

The old Tower plug was a 're-branded' OS A3... And it was as hot as the A3.

The current Tower Power plug is medium heat, made in Japan and appears to be a clone of the OS #8.

I'm guessing that it's hotter than the #8, but not by much.

Seems to run identical to an OS #8 in my stuff. My Tower .46 NEEDS an A3 in order to idle and transition good and the Tower plug just won't cut it. Runs great though in my ST's and anything else that needs an OS 8.

I have a whole card full of the early Tower plugs. They seem hotter than a 8

Can't speak for the early ones. They probably are hotter. I just have the newer ones and if they are hotter it's not enough for an Evolution or my Tower 46. Good price on the newer ones though and they seem to hold up well.
