Ive been debating on getting the O.S. 49-PI Type II 30 Wankel Rotary engine for one of my twin engine planes. My question to everyone is, does anyone out there have one and what are your thoughts on it. It looks to be a good motor but my god, 450$ for it is quite a hefty price if you ask me. I always pride myself on having rc stuff that no one at my club owns and this might be an addition to my collection but I have reservations as to how well this engine runs and starts being that it is quite expensive. Thoughts anyone?

Thanks for the info but do anyone have more info on how much fuel this motor would burn as compared other engines the same size?

The engine will burn the fuel about as a 10-15 cc size 2 stroke engine in same tank size. The engine are really fuel thirsty.
Edit: added cc

Are you saying for that motor to run Im gonna need a fuel tank 300cc or larger? Wow, that kinda sounds like more trouble than its worth, especially with the cost of the engine on top of it.
