I have a 40LA that ran fine last year. This year I can't seem to get it running right. While adjusting the high speed needle I was 5 full turns out and the speed was still increasing. Something is bad wrong but I can't see what it is. Any thoughts?

Check for a air leak on the backplate. I have taken all my LA's and taken the backplate off and used red RTV for a gasket and put locktite on the screws. I have never had another problem in over 3 years. That would be a good place to start with.

Hi Fischer, also check for fuel filter cloggage (if use one), and also dirty particles in the tank and in the needle. Also good to check too if you dont have pins in the fuel line. cheers
