Fuel is becoming a cost factor. I want to build a Stinger, and put a gas engine in it. The Stinger kit description lists 2, and 4 cycle engines, not gas. I'm sure a glow 2.0" engine, will produce more power than a gas 2.0. My question is there a conversion table for this? I want a gas 2 cycle engine, that will be able to hover the Stinger. The largest I can go is the 1.20 size Stinger, due to transportation problems. I was thinking of going with a 40-50 CC size engine. If anyone has any input, that would be great. I don't want to overpower, overweight it. I also don't want to spend 250.00 on a engine that is underpowered for this plane. I did a search at TH, and they list this for the power.
REQUIRES: Engine: .91-2.2 (2-stroke) or 1.20-1.60 (4-stroke)

I run my stinger 120 with a Moki 180. The Moki weighs 41 ounces with muffler and I have to carry 16 ounces of glow fuel. A comparable gas engine would need to have about 40 cc and will likely weight a bit more. But you can run a smaller tank.
With the Moki, I have unlimited verticle. Running a 18x10 prop.
