Default Engine thread lock

Hi guys, just a quick question - what is the best type of thread lock for the bolts and screws in an engine ? Does it need to be the heat resistant type ? Hopefully you can recommend a part number from Loctite as there's a distributor near me. Thanks..........

I have alway's used BLUE loctite. Make sure the threads are clean and dry before you apply it. I avoid using RED loctite as you usually need to apply heat to remove the fastener.

Happy Fly'n.....

Default Loctite

Blue 242 - item #24200 Red 262 - Item #26221

Loctite should be available at any automotive supply and some Hardware stores. I have the 6 ml. tubes/bottles and that is what the item # maybe referring to?

Happy Fly'n....
