I am setting up an ASP 1.08. The instructions on setting the low speed needle valve aren't all that clear. (at least to me) 
Does anyone have a method for the initial set up of the low speed needle?

Try This
Close the throttle barrel so that the body of a straight pin will easily fit in there. Get a piece of NEW fuel line long enough to easily blow through while attached to the inlet nipple on the carb. Gently close the low end needle or screw. At this point there should be no air flow when you try to blow through the fuel line. Slowly open the needle until you can just feel and hear airflow. This should be a decent starting point. It will however always depend on your engine orientation vs venturi to tank centerline relationship. Let me know how it workd out for you_Bob
