Default Need to get muffler off of engine

I have an engine in one of my planes that I want to get out. The muffler bolts are stuck in there because I put some thread lock in there and while trying to get them out I also rounded them out. Does anybody have an idea of how to get them out?? Its a Thunder Tiger .46 and its still in the plane.

One option could be to use a drimmel to grind the heads off then when the muffler comes off use pliers very carefuly to get the screws out.

Miloh.

Get one of those small micro torches and heat the bolts and then try to loosen them.

What Homebrewer said. Red Loctite will come loose with the application of heat. Just don't get to crazy with it though.

One of the guys who flies wit us had a similar prob with his brand new TT46. The nut on the back side of the muffler just would not come loose. He wanted to point the exhaust downwards. After lot of trying, he enged up without any grip on the nut and settled for cleaning his plane at the end of the day!!!!!!!!
