Irvine 39 question...
Hi,
My irvine 39 started 2nd flick out of the box, and with 4 or 5 tanks through it is running great....
but...
On full throttle, I can see fuel coming out of the front of the engine between the bearing and the drive plate, (at least thats where it looks like its coming from).
The prop is tightened....
Also some fuel leaks from the join between the end can of the silencer and the middle section, but I'm not too worried about that.
Any one else seen this, or have any ideas?
Si.

Irvine 39 question...
You may be leaking fuel thru the front bearing - not unusual in some bushing engines but it should not be happening on most dual BB engines esecially an Irvine. Sounds like you might want to send it back or replace the bearing yourself. A tiny bit of leakage can be expected but nothing more on a BB engine.
As far as leakage in the exhaust system goes - thats fairly normal and can easily be remedied by using some high temp rtv silicon gasket sealer on all joints in the exhaust system.
