Platinum and Palladium tanked when the auto industry ground to a halt. Unfortunately, I doubt we will be seeing the drop in costs in glowplugs.

The Rimfire plugs are said to last 300 hours! I just got a few. They look nice and have better looking electrodes than the old NGK ME-8. I made a 1/4"-32 plug cap for mine. I'll have to make another soon here. Maybe I'll do a how to.

What kind of features would people like to see from a spark ignition unit? I've used the RCEXL and it works fine. Do those XYZ units have any timing advance?

I don't know who made the units that Hobby City was selling last year for $25 each, Hall Effect sensor sold seperately. I "think" they had auto advance, but not positive. Don't know if these were RCEXL units, though.

I would appreciate your doing and presenting a "how to" article on converting the spark plug cap to 1/4"x32, Greg. TIA

There's a good chance the price hike wiped out my possibility of getting my first four stroke =(

I was strongly considering the 150, or maybe the 125 but now the 120AX looks that much more appealing. The only chance is if someone still has the old prices in January.

There are still some good prices on what some call the "sport" four strokes. Magnum prices have yet to increase and Thunder Tigers have also stayed put. Thunder Tiger has developed a 1.30 (it's in a post somewhere here on RCU), but it's not available yet. Some say the Thunder Tiger .91 four stroke is the most powerful .91 available (excluding YS). I'll probably get the Magnum 1.20 four stroke for my P47D, it's still very reasonable at 269.
