hey everyone i've just torn in to a old 40fp for some experimenting and tinkering and it has what apears to be nylon inserts instead of snap rings on the wrist pin does anyone have any experience with these?
are they difficult to remove or will they need to be replaced, they seem to be rather soft and i'm woried i'm going to damage them and have to wait forever for replacements.. thanks

Just snap then off gently, they are designed to slide on the cylinder wall so even if they do not snap tight when you put then on, the cylinder will keep them in place.

Trigger,
These Teflon (PTFE, it needs to be a little heat resistant, nylon isn't enough) inserts can easily be removed.
Just push the wrist pin from one end until the Teflon end piece protrudes a bit, then pull it of with your fingernails.
Sincerely,
