Default OS Ultimate 70

I have seen a few posts mention this engine. What exactly is it, when is it coming out? Anyone got the scoop?

Thanks!

It does look pretty sharp. Anyone have any idea when they are going to be hitting the States? Or pricing?

The O.S. Max FS-70 Ultimate is a totally new engine. Here's the U.S. stock number and suggested retail price:

OSMG0875 34710 FS70 ULT 4-STROKE W/PUMP $399.99

Delivery is expected to be in September '03.

I hope it won't be at $399.99 because I can get a YS FZ110 and two gallons of YS 20/20 fuel for that price.

Wow, I have to agree. I could order a Saito 100 or YS 110 for that price! Whew, I gues this is going to be a limited production run, kinda like a sports car or a Dubb Jett engine.

Wow, sorry, I misread. I could get a Saito 180 or almost a Ys 140 Sport for that price. Who exactly is going to be the market for this engine, I guess if the performance is off the charts, people might go for it, for that money though it better be turning a 15x6 at 9500 RPMs. I think someone at OS might want to rethink the marketing, pricing, or even design if it comes down to it, of this engine.

The price listed is the suggested retail price. It will undoubtedly be discounted from that.

According to O.S., the FS-70 Ultimate is a physically smaller engine with a pump system.

As far as information, we don't have any more information on it other than what's published at the O.S. site listed above.

Because it's not due until late in the year, it's not been added to our web site. We'll get it on the site as delivery dates become firmed up.

Default Browsing...

OK,I was browsing the Tower catalogue earlier (as you do) and I happened to look at the OS engine section. For the 2 stroke FX engines there is a list price and a Tower price.

Using these prices for reference, we could expect an actual price of around $270..... But then again.....
