Default Mini Pipe???

Here is a noob question. :stupid:

I ordered a .53 Rossi with a mini-pipe. The pipe does not seem to have a pressure fitting to hook a line to the fuel tank. Am I supposed to drill and tap a fitting myself? I assume one is needed???

Looks like you'll have to install one. What do the instructions say? You might need a Macs thinwall pressure fitting on this muffler.

Default Mini Pipe???

What is the Mini-pipe? Is it a straight through exhaust pipe or an expansion chamber type. The pipe/muffler has to produce back pressure otherwise there is no point fitting a nipple.

Default Mini Pipe???

The mini-pipe that comes with the Rossi looks kind of like a corndog. It has a round header pipe that connects to the exhaust port. Then a expansion chamber with another pipe at the other end for exhaust. Almost like a normal muffler. All it is lacking is baffles inside to reduce noise. Until the mailman delivers my engine, all I have to go on right now is some pictures in a review. The pipe they show does not have a nipple. I have seen some pictures at Morrishobbies.com. The pipe on their site does have a nipple. I guess I will have to wait until mine arrives.

Default Mini Pipe???

Hello!
Of course you need a pressurenipple!Drill and tap!!
The pipe you refered to is called, in common racing language, "a magic muffler"! it is constructed the same as any other magic-muffler on the market, Nelson,Jett,Super-Tigre, MVVS an so on.
