Default GMS .47

Boricua,

The GMS is a tapered bore engine.

you can identify this easily by turning the engine with the glow plug removed and feeling for strong resistance around TDC (the piston is at, or near the top of its travel).

Follow this thread:

Break-in is done at full throttle, no idling. I recommend 5% nitro and a 10x6 prop, not a heavy, larger diameter, or larger pitch prop. Don't use a smaller pitch prop either, as cooling will be reduced.
Verify the mixture is not too lean, but not four-cycling either.
Just rich two-stroking.

If you don't know how to identify the operation mode of the engine, seek help of an experienced modeler. But if he tries to persuade you to run the engine very rich, show him the thread and don't listen to him.

Sincerely,,
