Default Glow plug comparison

Has anyone ever done a comprehensive comparison, of glow plugs. As in how will a hot o.s. compare to a hot fox. It's something I don't see too much about. If you are working up an engine/plane combination and wanted to go a little hotter or a little cooler, or between different manufacturers. It would be good to see "all" plugs on a chart by heat value.

Hey, Bob, you'd think one of the big mags would do a survey and update it every year or so. If you care to drive up to Nashua and stop in at RC Buyers Warehouse, they have a chart on the wall in one of the side offices that I have been privileged to look at. Since I live in the neighborhood I never asked for a copy, but I bet if you bought your next plane there they'd run off a copy for you.

Seems to me I downloaded something, maybe from Fuelman here on rcu or whatever that other forum was, that was a pretty comprehensive listing of plugs and heat ranges. Unfortunately a paper hard copy tends to get buried in some pile of important information. See you at Bottom Gun this weekend.

The trouble with plugs is that there's no set standard for heat ranges like a car spark plug. What OS calls a hot plug might be similar to a medium in another brand. Try this for the best site I've found on plug heat ratings.

Admittedly it's only one brand but if you read through everything including the links at the top it gives a very good idea about the importance of selecting the right plug.

I didn't see a Tom in my club roster, but I'm sure I must know ya from somewhere. This Bottom Gun Show should be a good time. We will have a pretty good raffle going, actually three raffles. Alot of good prizes. I heard there might be a few jets.
