Default TT Pro 36 Mushy Midrange

I've got a TT 36 Pro which is in a Raptor 30, and the midrange isn't right. It runs great on the top end, and idles perfectly, but the midrange is terrible. It's realy mushy. As the carb opens in the midrange, the RPMs don't really pick up. The settings seem to be great, it was adjusted by a guy who really knows his stuff. I've heard that this is either the fault of the taper on the low end needle, or the carb. TT says to try 30% fuel, but I know that's not the issue. They said that I've already got the correctly tapered needle. He said all the engines shipped with Raptors had the right one. I'm using YS 20/20 fuel now with an OS 8 plug. I've heard people switching the carb and having tremendous success, anybody know what carb that is?

Thanks!
Reid
