Never Used a 1.20 Before, need some recommendations
I am putting an early version YS1.20 on a DP Ultimate. I've never used a 1.20 engine before, nor a YS. Just Saito's. The YS manual recommends Patternplane type props. I think they may carry to much pitch for biplane IMAC type flying. Could anyone with some YS1.20 experience tell me what fuel you were using and what prop. thanks.

6 pitch....so. 16/6 17/6
personally I prefer the wood 16/6 ma scimitar. it is not giving me max thrust because it is a tad small, but the spool up is excellent. plane is less than 9 lb so coaxing max thrust from the motor is not important. watch the over-reving though!
your plane will be 11-12lb so you will need all the thrust that engine can muster! use 17/6 apc if the engine will turn it comfortably, otherwise maybe 16/7 apc. the fz will turn the 17/6 apc but an older version may not have the poop to get the job done.
