Default Engine bearings ?

Just ordered and received some bearing for a magnum 61 4 stroke and they have medal sheilds on both sides. My old rear bearing has no sheilds. I think the front has one on the outside. Should I remove the sheilds? They came from a RC dealer, but not OEM.

I totally concur w8. Would you put a shielded bearing in a standard transmission or have shielded main bearings on a motorcycle crankshaft?
