I just finished installing the mac smoke system (pumpless smoke system).
I used home-made smoke oil mix of 50% paraffin oil and 50% baby oil after reading so many nice comments about this mix!! supposed to get thick white smoke.
Unfortunately, for some reason, this mix seemed to be thick! In other words, when I tried to use silicon tubing the oil flows very slowly and I had to wait for almost 30 minutes to fill a 4 oz tank!!!!
I tested the system after starting the engine and I had ZERO smoke generated. I am suspecting that this oil is flowing very slowly in the silicon tubing and it probably needs much more pressure than the muffler pressure provided by the mac system.
I wonder if anyone experienced such problems with a similar pumpless smoke system.
I would appreciate any suggestion, comments, or corrections!
Thanks in advance!

Yes! Exactly right. There is a viscosity issue. The oil flows very slowly and requires a lot of pressure to flow.
I noticed there is a confusion about the name "paraffin". Some say in the UK it is a different name for kerosene. By paraffin, what I meant, is an oil that looks clear and very dense.

No! There is no kerosene in it!
Paraffin is NOT kerosene in my case. It is like vaseline

My Feedback: (16)
Paraffin, Vaseline, and baby oil are all petroleum oil based and will react with silicone. You must use a brown stopper in your tank and either Neoprene or Tygon tubing in your smoke system.
Try a small amount thinned with enough naphtha so it will freely flow? Be careful, the naphtha itself will burn like 65 octane gasoline
The SuperDri commercial smoke oil is thin

I thought it is safe to put baby oil on one' face! How would it damage silicon tubing?!
