Default O.S. 60FP Vibration Question

I just got through running a tank of fuel through my (basically new) OS 60 FP and was suprised by the amount of vibration at full throttle. My test stand is basically a work-mate style bench that cranks closed around my test jig. I use two large concrete stepping stones as an anchor. With the thottle wide open the vibration was enough to slowly move those stepping stones all over (kinda of like the old electric football games from the '70s).

I just figured my prop was out of balance, but when I checked it, it wasn't that far off (a little but not alot). So I was just wondering, being pretty new at this, is that much vibration at full throttle normal? I'm especially worried about the screws holing the cowel on since they will be pretty close the vibration source.

Thanks,
Don

Default RE: O.S. 60FP Vibration Question

New engines vibrate more than well used engines

But due to the frequency of the vibration, all model engines tend to move concrete blocks around. Things need to be attached or blocked against movement
