G-Day everyone
i have an os 55 ax and want to put it in a seagull pc9 and it will be mounted inverted which means the carby will be right in the line of fire of sand flicked up by the prop when i land
so i was thinking if it would harm the engine or reduce power by making a scoop that sucks up air from the other direction like a u shaped intake if you get what i mean
i am also looing at puting a tuned pipe on this engine is there much diferance in the power ? or is it worth paying 150 bux for one :/

The exhaust bolt pattern is the same as the OS 46FX which is one of the most common sizes in the world. So take your pick.

The GMS 47 tuned muffler is cheap and would be an economical alternative and would be a direct bolt on.

Also Bruline makes airfilters for cars and they are made of rubber and slip over your carb entrance. This would be a cheap alternative to protect your engine

I mounted engines in my pc9 sideways and it was the best thing I ever did. I dont know about the pipe fitting on a sideways engine though. Cheers the pope
