Default os 108 prop sizing

I have a funtana 60-90 and installed a BGX-1 which is an OS1.08 2 stroke engine.engine runs well.however it seems that the 16x4w is not the best size.could be better off with a 16x8 or a 15x8?? the tach said almost 11000 and that seems a bit too much for what I am doing.and man its loud!

Great engine. The OS 1.08 will turn small or large props. For a faster plane, I run a 15-8. For more pull, I use a 16-6.

Back in the early 80's when my dad used the 1.08's(BX1) he used to use a 14x6 thats what everyone else used.. Now that ive had some experience id probably go 14x8 or 15x6

On a Funtana I wouldn't want any prop with a pitch greater than 6. The airframe can't take too much speed. I have seen one flutter and come apart in the air.
