I was flying tonight and my throttle went wide open. A minute later I heard something hit the prop and then I was dead stick. When I landed I had lost the carb off the engine. If anyone has one Please contact me at [email protected]

OS carbs come in a lot of flavors. You need to say what model OS 40 you have. h,fsr,fs,fx, ax,la etc.
otherwise you might get something that you don't need.

I am pretty sure that it is a fs model. I think I found the carb on tower hobbies site but it goes for $30. I thought that maybe someone had one laying around that would sell for a better deal.

They must be dumping them for last year they wanted like $60 for the carb,

They want more than $30 for one of the major parts of the carb.

This is a lot of carb for a OS 40FX. I doubt you will get the engine to run satisfactory. The carb is made for Heli's. The throttle ability is just not there for a 40 or 46FX engine.

I didnt notice that it said that it had an H behind the part #. I dont even see one listed on towers site under os carburator. Looks as if I might have to find a used engine just to get a carb.

Post a picture of your engine, that will simplify things a lot.

Measure the stem diameter and I may be able to get you a good carb.

This engine is a .40 sf model. The above listed link is for a heli carb that will fit my motor. the listing shows it to have an outside diameter of 13.5mm.

OKIwill check to see what the diameter of mine are.

The OS 40 SF came with the 4D carb.

Just checked and I see mine has a diameter of 13MM so it should work but you would have to drill and tap the bolt holes.
