Default Rossi 60 rich in idle

I have a well broken in Rossi 60 that I cannot get lean enough in idle. It loads up and quits when I open the throttle. I have the low speed needle all the way in. I know its rich because it speeds up when I squeeze the fuel line. It seems that with the needle completely closed it still gets enough fuel to load up.
I am using Wildcat 10% fuel
12-7 APC prop.
Muffler pressure
Fox RC long glow plug.
I am thinking the muffler pressure may be too much and am going to try it without it.
Anyone have any other ideas?

I have Rossi .60's with completely different needles
in them. Your carb may have the wrong needle in it.

If it's getting too much fuel....you might need the
"fat" needle style....

Is that the high or low speed needle in the picture?

Thanks for the replies

That's the high speed....all the fuel comes through the
high speed side....

I have the same problem with a Rossi .45. The low end is too rich. But the greater problem is, that having the low end needle all the way in I can't close the carb any more. So I always have to run the engine richer than it needed to be. My high end needle is of the "fat" sort.

Dirty bird, how did you get rid of that problem?

I crashed the airplane. That got rid of the problem.
However before that I did find (by taking the carb apart) that I had the low speed needle to far in. The low speed needle is not tapered. There is a slot cut in the side of the spray bar that is reduced in area when the che throttle closes by the needle being inserted into the slot. With the low speed needle all of the way in the slot is cut off and no fuel change is made when the throttle closes. The cure is to back the low speed needle all the way out then set the high speed needle and work from there until you get a good idle keeping in mind not to get the LS needle in too far.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I'll try that 'leaning out the low end by setting the needle richer#

Too bad you crashed your airplane.
