O.S. SF .61
I Have an os sf.61 2 stroke & it has a nipple on the rear backplate
can anyone tell me what it is for ?
is it just a crankcase vent or what ?
it looks just like a nipple on a muffler
Thanks

RE: O.S. SF .61
It is a crankcase pressure/vacuum takeoff for a pump or whatever. It needs to be closed off unless used for something else that will seal the crankcase or you will lose base pressure and not transfer the fuel charge to the upper cylinder on the piston's downstroke. Also it needs to be sealed so that the fuel is drawn into the case on the upstroke of the piston.
