Guys, my googling has been unsuccessful in finding the specs on the old OS .61 sf engine. Looking specifically for the weight of the engine & muffler as I believe this was the long stoke engine of the day? I trying to choose a comparable weight engine (bigger bore obviously) for my Ultra Sport 60 kit build so I'm not way too nose heavy.

Someone over in the pattern forums may be able to help you. Maybe in the SPA area? I remember the SF's used to be rather popular. The size/weight was not materially different from the OS 61FX though.

I just weighed one of my OS 61 SF abc engines:

W/O muffler 19.4 oz

With stock muffler 24 oz

The spec says 19 oz W/O muffler.

HI i run a 91 fx in my 60 size ultrasportthe 91 is a little less weight than most 61 engines as it is a bored out 61 casethe 91 is known for the rear needle valve to leak-so look out for that-if you go with a 61-i have two outstandingpowerhouse OS engines for sale -a 61 sf and a 61 fsr (the 7d carb )-both are trulyjust past there break inif interested call 352-560-7359TONY
