I was just wondering if anybody has any comments on the Evolution 60 engines. Currently I have two of the trainer evolution engines and they work fine, and I was thinking of the 60 for a ultrastik, just wondering. JW

I have an evolution 61nt on my four star 60. It started great the first time I test ran it. When I went to test fly my plane, It wouldn't start. It seems the glow plug was bad. I replaced the plug and it started right up. I have had no other problems since. It idles incredibly well!! And revs up real nice. A very reliable engine! It dosn't surprise me, I have an evo 40 and an evo 46 and they also perform just as advertised!

The latest "Model Airplane News" magazine ( Nov. 2003) has a full test and review of the Evolution .46 by David Gierke. Might be worth looking at as some of the features of the .60 are the same. They were quite impressed with it!

i have a funtana and have installed a evolution .61 havent flown it yet due to michigan weather. the engine mounted into the cowl with minimal cutting of the cowl.
however i used the stock motor mount and of course because of the larger engine size the blind nuts in the firewall need to be moved. i plan on running a master airscrew 13-5 k series prop and cool power 15% fuel. i will wright a rewiew on this setup as soon as i fly it.
