Default MVVS .61 Diesel

A lot of people are saying good things about MVVS engines on this board. Who has personal experiance with the MVVS .61 Diesel ? There is a LHS that has a glow .61. Can I add a diesel head? or does the contra piston fit in the cylinder like a PAW?
How noisy with the standard muffler? There are noise rules @ my field. How much power loss and weight penalties with the extra quiet muffler? Does the 7mm carb help diesel throttle response?

Lots of questions I know but any help will be appreciated.

Default MVVS .61

Actually Francis, if you buy the MVVS .61 Diesel engine from Just Engines you get both a glow and a Diesel head. Choice of side or rear exhaust. I'm not advocating that you buy it from them but that is the way they sell the Diesel.

Default MVVS .61 Diesel ?

I know where to buy it. How does it perform? How does it compare with a Davis converted Fox .60?

Default MVVS 61 Diesel

Francis, I have one of these, they are a powerful engine and run with authority. Make sure you gey the smaller (7 mm) carb for diesel operation. Oh, they run just great as a glow too!

Here's a link you may find of interest, a tale of one man's experience with this engine
