Default HB .40 pdp

Hi,
I bought this hb 40 pdp recently knowing the carb was on backwards but when I recieved it the spray bar is off 90 degrees.this is an hb carb and for the life of me I can't figure out how it was rotated to this position let alone rotate it back.open to suggestion or any one have an extra carb the want to get rid of?

Does it run OKwith it that way? That is a common way to cure a rich midrange.

haven't tried it,I just don't see how it was rotated as it is a press fit.

Beats me, Irvine carbs are the same way. If you can give me the base diameter Imay be able to help with a carb.

The fuel nipple is straight up. On all my HB carburetors the fuel nipple is 90 degrees to where yours is shown in the picture. It points to the rear of the engine.

Try to rotate the fuel nipple/assembly.

I've got a HB or Perry carburetor depending on the model if you need one.
