Default saito timing?

Hi,

Any body know how to set the correct timing for the cams on a saito 115? As I`ve had to replace the bearing and then realized I`m not quite sure how this bit go`s back together.

Thanks.

Dot on the cam straight down at 6 o'clock. Crank at TDC (12 o'clock, piston all the way to the top).

Hold the cam still with an exacto blade jammed into the gear teeth at the gasket surface of the cam cover while you insert it onto the crankcase

Beefer, run the crank around 360 degrees from where you set the timing and both vales should be open a small and same amount.

Double check your timing after assembly by turning the crankshaft one full turn form top dead center on the compression stroke.

At top dead center you will be on the overlap stroke. One valve will be almost closed and one will be almost open. Both valves should be open the same amount if the timing is correct.

All the singles are the same
