Default Prop Washer

Hello,

I'm using a os91sx-h on my airplaine, but since this engine is for helis, i dont have a prop washer to use in it. I have use a regular washer that fits on the shaft.

Can some one tell me if there is some risk by doing this, or if there is something special with the original washers for the prop?

Thanks

I've done the same thing with a 50SX with no problems. You might make sure the hole isn't too much oversize. I searched thru my washer jar until I found one that was plenty big in diameter and just fit over the shaft.

Prop Washer is a little round pice of metal that goes in the middle of the Hex nut and the propeler. If you dont understand the meaning of washer, imagine a coin with a hole in the middle.

About your other question i can't understand what you are asking, maybe some one else do.

bikz, I went to Penang once, what a great place that was. Anyway, all a prop washer does is spread out the force of the prop nut to a larger area. You then can tighten down the nut more without damaging the prop hub. To gain up thrust, down thrust or right thrust, you need to shim behind the engine mount. this will shift the engine and mount the direction you need to go.
