Default Basic (dumb ?) question re. Webra .50

Hi guys,

Just a quickie... could somebody please advise me of the approximate main needle setting for break-in of a Webra Speed .50 GT with TNII carb (i.e. where do I start ?). Oh, and an idea of prop size would be cool. The supplied instructions seem to overlook these minor points

Thanks !

B.D.

P.S. I did search nearly every thread I could find but no actual 'turns' mentioned.

Default Turns

Turns are not the same from one engine to another, check the thread called, breaking in a 2 stroke ringed and get more confused. Just run it a little rich for half hour or so and then fly it rich til broken in. 10x6 or 10x7 prop, run it slow for first 15 minutes.

Just don't break this engine in using the slobbery rich method like a ring engine. This could ruin this ABN engine. Use the hot breakin method. The engine should be emiting a two stroke sound but be rich enough to provide enough lubrication for breakin. I usually lean it just past the point the motor sound breaks into two stroke. To where it is missing occasionally. This is only for the first tank of fuel. After the first tank lean the engine for a clean but rich two stroke on the high speed needle. A little castor would help also.

Hi!
Start with 2 turns open...and ajust from there ....remember that this is a ABN engine and it "wants" to rew ...do not run it slobbery rich.
