I have several MC-4's. McCoy's have been around a while but you don't see them very often.
The 55 is a "Hot" plug

NOTES FROM OUR TECH DEPARTMENT
This is the McCoy MC-55 glow plug without idle bar for low nitro and FAI use.
FEATURES: Hot heat range
For low nitro, planes, cars, boats, etc.
Heated by 1.5V source
Silver/Chrome colored with 5/16" size hex
Probably for 0-5% nitro content fuels. I have used the MC-59 plug before and it workrd well.

Those MC-55 plugs should work very similarly to the O.S. A3/#6 hot plug. What qualifies as "low nitro" depends more on the engine you're running than the glow plug that you're running. For an O.S. Max, Thunder Tiger, Magnum, or Evolution two-stroke with 15% nitro, the MC-55 won't be too hot.
Higher compression engines like Super Tigre, Enya, Webra, and the like would be more difficult to tune with a hot plug and 15% nitro.
McCoy glow plugs are top quality, and the MC-55 will work very well in most any two stroke with the proper fuel.
