Default fuel tank problem

I need help, Iam trying to put the rubber cap seal into a tank and I recently had hand surgery and no much strength. These seals are a beast to get in without a handicap. So question is there a way for me to get this rubber seal into the tank so I can tighten the screw without screwing up my hand. greatly appreciate it.
Rick.

It can take a good deal of hand strength. Use some lubrication - whatever you have on hand. Vegetable oil, vaseline, etc. Or find a friend or neighbor to help.

Yes - get someone to help you

Also a new stopper is easier to get in than an old one.

With your gripping capacity impaired, inserting a stopper is a difficult and risky task.

I believe there is a tank type that has an O-ring instead of a stopper for sealing:

That one may be easier on your hand to assemble.

Hi!
A much better tank with no expander seal is a Tettra tank! These are available in both "bubble less" and ordinary models.

I've used some dishwashing liquid and it works quite well and leaves no oily residue

Put your brass in the holes and plug the end of the lines. Put some warm water in the tank, set the stopper in place and then set it down in a bowl of ice water. It will suck the stopper right in, if not all the way in. :-)

If not finding help, get a Hayes tank.
Real easy to assemble.
