I am planning on a Goldberg .40-.46 size ARF. What would a good engine be?
I was thinking 4 different engines
1.Thunder Tiger Pro .46 BB ABC
2.Magnum XLS-46 BB ABC FSR
3.O.S. .50 SX Ringed
4.O.S. .46 FX Non-Ringed
What engine would be good for this plane?
Please have info as I would like to learn the pluses and minuses of these.

The Enya will last forever and the Irvine is very tractable and reliable, it will turn large or small props with equal ease. The Irvine is really easy to break in. It is also very smooth. Never had a dead stick with either. I can't comment on the others as I've never owned any of those.

If you can spend the cash, I agree with hobbsy. Get the Enya, it is far superior to the others. I have been running an Enya .40 for 15 years and it gets better every season. I must caution you to give them a good long break in. That done they last forever. It starts right up and you don't even have to touch the needle.

P.S. If you choose one of the others, go for the Thunder Tiger Pro for ease of handling and power.

Every one of the engines you mentioned are good, take your pick. The days of crap engines are over.
So long as Mecoa sells GMS, crap engines will be sold in the USA.

Fastfly,
All the engines mentioned so far would suit your plane choice well.
My preference would be the O.S. .46 fx, as they are about the most user friendly as any engine you will ever own. I see you are in Minnesota, you can pick one up for about $109 at Hobby warehouse in Richfield.
From the sounds of your posts and your plane choice, I would guess that you may be new to RC Planes and that is why I would recommend the O.S.
Very user friendly engine, that will fly the Tiger wonderfully.
What field do you fly at?
