Tuning a pipe to a engine
We have a Super tiger G-21 size 46, we wish to install a header and pipe on this engine. What is the process to tune the pipe to the engine. The plane will weight around 4 to 4.5 pounds with all hardware installed, also what prop would be best to run on this engine for speed

Hi!
9x7 or 9x6,5 APC. Not a Zinger or MA. |

Thanks, I will get me some

The right prop depends on what type of plane it is. Several times I have found a Master Airscrew S-2 series prop to be faster than an APC, but usually only on a sport type plane.

Us the header and a mousse can setup unless you just after rpms and top end. I love headers and pipes for sport flying but not tuned for high rpms necessarily.

I don't believe the ST G21 .46 has high enough liner timing to see much of a gain with a tuned pipe. You might do better with good prop selection.

Hi!
APC is not the best prop if you use a 10x6 or 10x7, then a RAM or Graupner is better. MA is no good compared with RAM or Graupner Cam-prop though! |
