Prop size for evolution 46NT
I know I am opening (maybe) a can of worms but the article for the 46nt states that it should use a 11x6 prop and turn around 12500. I am kind of short on ground clearance and was thinking of a 10.5 x6 or 7 not sure what it will do to the rpm? Has anyone with this engine used different props and if so what did you find?

RE: Prop size for evolution 46NT
A 10 X 8 will give you + 400 rpm or a 10.5 X 7 will give you +100 rpm. The 10 X 7 will give you about +800 rpm. The engine should run fine with any of these.

RE: Prop size for evolution 46NT
Good morning...I need help from anyone with experience with the Evolution Engine....I have a new one, the Alpha, .45, (not NT) 15 minutes on the engine...I put it up with a lot of after run oil and two days later I had a puddle of oil under the front of the engine on my work bench...Oil is leaking at the prop. I have other engines that I have never noticed an oil leak....Is this a normal problem for engines or evolution engines if they are stored with 15 drops of after run oil?

RE: Prop size for evolution 46NT
It's not unusual for an engine to do that. Some of mine have leaked and they were good running engines that have lasted many years. Not to worry.
