I wish all there motors looked this good |
Well, it is the inside that counts. ;)
I just wish they would use some crome on the inside, the outside can be plain aluminium... |

I'll stick with Enya. :) I have a handful of OS engines, one of which is an LA25 painted blue. I intend to strip the paint off of it - I prefer the bare aluminum look myself. I might even consider polishing an engine one of these days. |
I don't care much what they look like, I care how they run. A beautiful engine that doesn't run is nothing more than scrap as far as I am concerned. OS engines are good runners, as are most other brands of engines.
I agree with 1Qwk, I'll take an Enya any day over OS. They run great, look great, last forever and you can get parts for decades after they were built. OS engines parts support is poor and short lived. |

 Gotta admit , for me , I like the look of any model airplane engine that has a timing belt . It has that look of serious power , just sitting there waiting to be unleashed .....

Now that is a awesome looking engine! As it's a Webra, it probably runs great too.

I have always wanted to try out a Enya, just haven't gotten around to buying one, I admit I've always been an OS and Saito guy, I've owned a couple Thunder Tigers as well and was very impressed with those.

The 4stroke I was thinking of was more like a 91 or 120 . I would luv a wankle engine on a ugly stik where everyone ( especialy me ) can see it . Cheers

You should try one. They are superb engines. They also stock parts for most of the engines they've produced over the past 20-30 years. You can buy directly from Enya too (Enya-engine.com, click English on the top right.). Their 4-strokes are built to rev and last. The little 4-strokes are capable of 14k Max rpm and the larger ones (.53 and up) can max out at 13k. They do take some time to break-in, but once there, they're easily one-flip starters and rarely need much adjustment. I love 'em; I think I have a dozen of them now. |

Just wondering out loud how old Ken Enya is. Will things keep going, or is it just a one man show? I have seen a lot of one man shows go. Fox, K&B... As for shiny engines, I have a blue LA .25 on my blue and yellow Honker biplane that is a perfect match. No cowl needed there. Maybe a yellow Tornado prop?http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2192292

Wow there not cheap are they?

The car guys always want bling. If they would do that with the radials and other muti cylinders might feel like the price is justified.

No, but premium engines aren't cheap. Last time I bought from Enya, the US penny is worth just a tiny bit more than the Japanese Yen. I bought all of my Enyas second hand, most of them new or almost new. They're cheaper on the secondary market usually, especially used. I prefer ferrous engines to be unrun when I get them if possible. They usually take an hour to settle.. Ringed and ringless engines usually are broken in enough to fly after 20-30min. |

My very first glow motor was a Blue LA25, I love that motor
I was recently given one of these engines. I'm planning a full mod job for it including adding a boost port. I'll have to see if it'll wake up a bit. |
I had my la25 mounted on a plane designed around the AP yellow jacket 15 so the LA was really overpowered for that little plane.

I wish all there motors looked this good Beautiful engines!!! Now they also need to do one with metallic purple!!! I shudder to think about their price!!! Definitely a shelf ornament. BTW, I am snooping around for an OS 15LA if somebody has one to sell at a reasonable price. |

I like the humble AP Yellow Jacket 15. I plan on putting mine into a PICA 1/12 scale ME109 this winter. Should be fun without landing gear and 3 channels to keep it light. |
This is where my Alpha .56 ended up.Post 621.

I am not sure if you'd have interest or not, but I have some Enya 15-IVs for sale. Probably on-par power-wise to the LA, but they are ferrous technology though.
I would be interested in an Enya 15. I already run all-castor for my small engines, but how much nitro can it take? 15%? |
For beauty I like the Saito Black Knights.
