RE: Prop Question

APC 11.5X4 - fast spin-up
APC 12.25X3.75 - Maximum Thrust

RE: Prop Question

I have run both and personally like the throttle response of the 11.5x4. The 12.25x3.75 is a heavy prop.

Depending on how strong your .46 is you might want to try a 12x4. I have not tried this prop, but have read on RCU where some people get better response out of it than the 12.25x3.75.

RE: Prop Question

If you want high thrust, but also to retain a reasonably good speed, get a Bolly, or an APC 11x6, or an 11.5x6.
It will get 13,500-14,500 RPM and will make enough thrust to pull a 6 lb. plane vertically.
Speed will be close to a 10x6 at higher rpm.

You may need to lengthen the pipe/header, to get it into tune.

RE: Prop Question

If the pipe is tuned to a APC 10x6,I would use a APC11x4.You want a prop that will turn the same rpm'sas the 10 x6
