Moki 2.10 settings
I have an Aeroworks Extra profile with a Moki 2.10. I am having trouble setting the needles. I get the low end set, then when I throttle up, it peaks at about 7200 then drops back to 6500. Im running 5% nitro and a Zinger Pro 20/8. I am going to put a Cline REg on it, but it should still start up and run without it. Any suggestions?
BTW I am using the standard tubing inside the tank and larger tubing to the engine. |

Put the cline on it. Keep it rich on both ends to start with. Mokis take a long time to break in- about 5 gallons. But they run great and very reliable.

I would use large fuel tubing inside the tank as well along with a large clunk;)

ok I'll go pick up a large clunk and tubing tomorrow. where can I get a cline from?

RE: Moki 2.10 settings
As posted ealier, make sure you have large (1/8" ID) fuel tubing from clunk to carb.
The symptom you are describing sounds like the motor is starving for fuel. Don't fly it this way! If the tank is close to the engine, respectfully suggest you leave the Cline off to start. Get the engine running good without the regulator, then put it on. Let us know how it works out for you. |

There are many good suggestions already posted. Rule #1 Always err rich Rule #2 Refer to rule #1:D Always try and set the top end slightly rich first and then go to the bottom end adjustment. The disc on the bottom end of the Moki is very sensitive so only move it a little at a time. Get the motor to hold its maximum revs with the nose up for at least a minute. The main needle is not as sensitive as the bottom end needle Cooling could also be a problem if the air has nowhere to escape - 1 in 3 out Definitely need big bore fuel tubing and big clunk. Moki's also take a long time to run in. Be patient and the Moki will serve you well.:) You also need a fairly open exhaust to prevent overheating. The prop you are running is fine Regards Zane |
