can you put a cen .46 genesis engine on a hpi savage 25 and if so what mods are needed and if not what is the most powerful engine you can put on the savage with no mods

I believe you need the extended chassis kit to put the .46 in a Savage.

I have installed a Mach .28 and an SH .28 (same basic engine ) a Wasp .27 and several Fantoms...the only thing you might have to do is open up the holes in the (purple ) motor mount plate just a little.

The Mach .28 works well...and all the stock clutch parts will fit. Get one with an SG shaft.

Bryce...if all else fails, you can just measure the bore and the stroke and figure it out from there.
What brand of engine is it?

do a little research on that cen 46 engine and se if you still want it that bad. It is the biggest piece of sh.t I ever had. That goes for the whole cen genesis. do not believe that 5 horses claim, it is total bull..it. I have owned a genesis and a savage. The savage with a picco 26 blew the genesis away. Go to cen racing forum and look up my previous posts on the genesis and its engine. Do your self a favor and get a good 26-28 engine instead.
