RE: os .40 fsr users guide
Hi!
There isn't such a thing as a rule to this...just run it rich if it's ringed and fairly fast if it's an ABC engine! that's it! 2 1/2 -3turns open is just a start. Regards! Jan K Sweden |
RE: os .40 fsr users guide
There are no specs given in the manuals, I just checked two of them. Mine
are both ringed engines. 2 and 1/2 turns out on the main sounds about right. There is a seperate instruction page for the carb, it doesn't say anything either. FBD. ;) |
RE: os .40 fsr users guide
Back in the FSR era there were only two types of engine you could get, ringed or cast iron. Everyone knew that for either of them you just ran them slobbering rich at first and the only danger was a needle that wasn't open enough. :)
Personally I like to start a new engine with the needle screwed out maybe 3 or 4 turns and the throttle opened enough not to have to worry about idle mix. |
