saito 56 gk hub not spinner
Hey guys,
Looking for a little help. I have a saito 56 gk (first saito and never ran yet) and I want to use a hub instead of a spinner. The question is this, would the hub be all I need? I have noticed the stock prop nuts have the locking feature? Is it OK to do with out those? Thanks in advance. Layne |

I have seen these engines with just the hub as you call it. The hubs were put on tight and the owners never seemed to have any trouble

lrtx1,
Harry B. Higley (perhaps others) sell very nice thin lock nuts in brasss and aluminum. They are large in diameter and act both as a prop washer and a nut. I use one with great success on a Saito with a DuBro screw-on spinner/nut. It does not take up much space on the propeller shaft and gives you the ability to double nut with a "hub". |

I run two .91 4-strokes with just the hub and have never had a prop come off. I do check it every few flights (which it never seems to be loose).

I use a Higley hub on my 50 with no problem. On my 120 too.

Thank you for the input. It looks as it is not that big of deal, as I once thought.
