Engine sputtering after a roll!
Have an Antic bipe with an old SuperTigre 60 mounted upright. Tank is mounted just aft of engine laterally. When rolling the plane the engine will sputter and occasionally die. Seems to do it when rolling in both directions. Have never flown a plane with the tank mounted this way. Does any one know if this problem is to expected with the tank mounted this way? Thanks, Bob

Engine sputtering after a roll!
You mention old, is your fuel tubing ( in side the tank), going to the clunk, stiff? So when you roll the plane it doesn't bend down into the fuel.

Tank is brand new with new fuel line and clunk goes to the back of tank and flops freely in all directions. Didn't mention though am flying without muffler as this engine didn't originally come with one.

You mean the tank is 90 degrees of the wings? If so that will never work!

Engine sputtering after a roll!
The tank is positioned so that the front and back of the tank runs parallel with the wing as oppossed to the way I've installed most of my tanks where fore and aft run parrallel with the fuse. I didn't build this plane but assume plans called for this type of installation. Am thinking of installing traditional way but just wanted to get opinions first.
