Saito 82 Stalling issue
I have a Saito 82 that I've had for several years. The last few flights my engine stalls in mid-flight at or around 6 minutes into a 13 minute flight. I've tried new glow plug...new fuel...reset and reset engine settings. I get perfect performance at each full tank but again...at 6 minutes engine sputters...and stalls. Tired and freaked about the number of deadsticks I've had to deal with.
Please help!!! |
RE: Saito 82 Stalling issue
How far are you from Colonial Beach? Maybe I could take a look at it.

RE: Saito 82 Stalling issue
Sounds as though you should put new components inside your tank

RE: Saito 82 Stalling issue
its fuel tank issue, check your fuel stopper and inside tank lines

RE: Saito 82 Stalling issue
Your fuel line has a hole in it where it joins the feed tube.

RE: Saito 82 Stalling issue
How long has the Saito .82 been on the market? Do they run much stronger or better thtan the older .80 Saito? Thanks Capt,n

RE: Saito 82 Stalling issue
The 82a has been around since 2003 or somewhere along there
It has the cylinder bore of a 100 and a stroke less than that of the 72 Exterior size is much the same as the Saito 72. Has a common mounting bolt pattern with the 72, 45, 50 56, & 62. But the 72 and 82 are a little wider across the crankcase The 82 has power very close to what the 91 does. It will pretty much swing the same props There's a new 82 that will be available in a few months with a redesigned crankcase. |
RE: Saito 82 Stalling issue
Changed all fuel lines...and checked the tank.
Now engine works perfectly. THanks for the advice. |
