Saito 56 probs
Hi all ,my engine just run at idle and when I try to speed up the engine die.
I changed the glow plug for a new OS F and I tried a tank to the outside of the aircraft and I have always the same problem. I removed the main needle and pumping gas into the carburetor inlet to remove dirt and no change. W can I do ?? |

You don't understand that you don't question W8YE. You just do it and it works. :D

RE: Saito 56 probs
No, next to W8YE and a zillion other resident experts on RCU, I know it all already. However, I thought I was wrong once, but, I was wrong about that also. Actually I do consider W8YE to be the expert and I was complimenting him, not disparaging you. My apoligies to you.:D

Tig, one more little jewel, when the low speed needle is too lean it causes the high speed needle to be vague or even ineffective. In this shot of a Saito carb the "catseye" slot is where the fuel flows into the airstream, the sleeve that slides in and out over the spraybar is the " low speed needle", when the low speed needle covers up too much of the catseye you get the condition you've described.
