Default OS DPT-S6C single-stick transmitter

I was given this transmitter, which is in good working order (after replacing the battery and centering a couple of pots). RF output is high and it works fine with my HPI RF-2 receiver. I am wondering what vintage it is. Anyone knows the year this was produced?

Jean-Marie,

You were given a pristine treasure. That is the first single stick OS I have seen. My guess is it must have been in the middle 1960's. However, if you want to sent it to me, I think I could figure out when it was made and it would only take about 15 years.

I agree...that is a RARE treasure... as I have never seen a single stick OS.

I had the 3 channel version of that and the year was 1968 complete with minitron servos it was much more reliable then my World Engines 2-3-4 which would shut off after 10 minutes when the output transistor would overheat.

I tend to agree with you, but it would then be the first non-American item in the RC Hall of Fame.[sm=confused.gif]
Anyway, it is in too good a shape not to want to fly it, which I definitely intend to do.

Yes, 1968 sounds very probable, with full two-transistor single-shots for each channel like the Digitrio, large air coil antenna matching circuit, etc...
Thank you.

I found an ad for a 4 channel OS single stick that looks identical to the one you have in a January 1969 issue of American Aircraft Modeler. The 4 channel sold for $319.99, and no 6 channel was yet listed.

Thank you,
I'll look in my magazines and see if I have anything around that time.
Happy flying.
