Old Hobby Shack Pilot brand Kit Pacemaker
Anybody remember the Hobby Shack Pacemaker by Pilot? I've had this model ever since I bought it in 1980 and I think I'm about ready to build it. It has a beautiful spun aluminum cowl and I have a NIB K&B 40 for it. I have been putting off building because it has somehow become an antique since I've had it but a kit unbuilt is a waste. I'm not a collector so I might as well enjoy it before I die. If anyone else has this kit, I would enjoy sharing stories.
Cheers,
Andy

Pilot kitted that model and it was a beauty. I had 2 of them,. The origional was a free Flight and was a lightweight, While the kit flew well it really needs some major weight reduction to live up to its real potential. It is worth more as a collectable then if you build it.

RE: Old Hobby Shack Pilot brand Kit Pacemaker
Hi Oldtyme, I also have one of these kits in my stash. My regrets are that I didn't buy the floats that went with it. Would love to find some now. I have the RCM issue with the article on Irwin Ohllson and the Pacemaker. I have no imeadiate plans to build mine, but I would love to follow along with you if you do a build thread. I was always impressed by the actual blueprint plans. Good luck with your build.
